The video, which has been viewed more than 2.9 million times, plays audio of debate moderator Chris Wallace asking the president if he is willing to condemn the violence committed by white supremacists and other militia groups seen in cities such as Portland and Kenosha....

Japanese police have named Shinji Aoba, 41, as the suspect in Japan’s worst mass killing for two decades, claiming that he entered the premises of the Kyoto Animation Studio with a trolley and at least one bucket of petrol. He is alleged to have shouted “die” when he arrived at the studio, which is better known as KyoAni. He later admitted to police when he was detained, “I did it,” the news agency Kyodo reported....

In September, the animation studio announced a delay in the film— a sequel to Violet Evergarden Gaiden: Eternity and the Auto Memories Doll—initially set to premiere in January 2020. The decision came after a fire broke out in the studio on July 18, killing 36 people and injuring 33 others. News of the rescheduled movie release occurred on Saturday, amid other reports that the suspected arsonist behind the deadly fire, Shinji Aoba, was participating in “informal” talks with Kyoto police....

Crowds of protesters blocked the entrance to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, where the wounded officers were in a critical condition, police said. Some protesters chanted “we hope they die,” the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office said on Twitter. A witness told ABC7 that some had tried to break into the hospital’s emergency room. The shooting happened at around 7 p.m. Saturday at the Metro Blue Line station at Willowbrook Avenue and Compton Boulevard, not far from the Compton sheriff’s station....

Carmelo Anthony received two technical fouls and an automatic ejection after arguing a personal foul call with referee Tony Brothers on Friday night. Anthony became furious after he was hit with a loose-ball foul for diving over Celtics forward Amir Johnson with 4:44 remaining in the second quarter.
