In return, Little Caesars customers can now buy a large pepperoni pizza or a large cheese pizza for $3.99 each for one week. From now until June 7, customers can claim their discounted pizza by ordering online for pick-up or delivery at a participating restaurant.

Delivery fees will apply, as will a small order fee for delivery orders less than $10. Additionally, the deal is limited to three per person, per day.

Dave Scrivano, CEO of Little Caesars, said in a press release: “We want to celebrate the phenomenal support we have received from our customers over the past weeks and months by offering all of America an incredibly low price on our most popular item.

“We appreciate all of the contributions to our ‘Pie It Forward’ program, we commend our essential workers, and we thank our customers for their continued business.”

Little Caesars’ “Pie It Forward” program invited customers to add a pizza to their order that would be sent to essential workers. Customers could also nominate a hero. Those who took part in the program can see their donations being delivered to first responders and healthcare workers at the #PieItForward tag on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

The pizza chain said it has donated more than 650,000 pizzas currently and that it will have donated the full 1.2 million pizzas in the next few weeks.

On Friday, Little Caesars said on Twitter: “Thanks for being the ultimate sidekicks and helping #PieItForward to the real heroes! You’ve added over 200,000 ADDITIONAL pizzas to the 1-million pizzas Little Caesars is donating to healthcare workers and first responders across the USA! Up, up and away!”

The pizza chain has shared how it has adjusted to deal with the coronavirus crisis, including introducing contactless options for delivery and carry-out orders. The pizzas are baked in 475-degree ovens and are not touched after baking.

Little Caesars has also introduced Pizza Portal, an order pick up method which allows customers to scan their phones and retrieve their orders from heated compartments.

Additionally, the chain has also reinforced cleanliness and sanitization procedures, including increasing the frequency of cleaning commonly touched surfaces like door handles, glass, countertops, Pizza Portal surfaces, phones and cash registers.
