The “rejects” include McCoy, linebacker Trent Cole and right guard Todd Herremans. McCoy was traded and Cole and Herremans were released by the Eagles in the offseason.

McCoy received a lot of attention after he said, “there’s a reason he got rid of all the black players,” referring to Kelly. It drew a back-and-forth between Kelly and McCoy, each responding to the other, and led to the Buffalo back snapping at reporters during OTAs.
Sunday’s encounter sounds like it was more playful than anything, but it’s still another example of McCoy taking a chance to get back at the coach who traded him. As for McCoy — his Bills team won, 27-14, over the Colts, and he finished with 41 yards on 17 carries.
