When Leonard Fournette and LSU wanted to auction off the star back’s No. 7 jersey to help South Carolina flood victims, the NCAA first said that wasn’t allowed.

But that decision was changed and on Monday, the auction raised just more than $100,000.
Fournette’s history — how his family dealt with Hurricane Katrina — is well-documented so the cause was important to Fournette and the LSU community.
Along with receiving Fournette’s game-worn jersey against South Carolina, the auction winner received helmets signed by LSU coach Les Miles and former South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier.
