Corso suffered the stroke in 2009, which put his health and career in jeopardy.
Since Oct. 5, 1996, Corso has been donning mascot headgear to label his pics for the game of the week. That day he picked the Ohio State Buckeyes and plopped on Brutus the Buckeye’s head before their game against Penn State.
The tradition took on a life of its own, with Corso putting on over 280 mascot heads and other costumes.
“Most of all, I thank the fans for letting us have a little fun,” Corso said while wiping away tears.
