LeBron James had a large and very noticeable tear on the back of his jersey after Boston Celtics point guard Jaylen Brown grabbed him.

This wasn’t the first time one of Nike’s new jerseys ripped. Tyler Ennis had a similar jersey tear during the Lakers’ preseason opener that was also the result of a grab.
While it is not yet clear why the jerseys are tearing, they do have special features that could possibly be a contributing factor.
