Lawrence Pd Sees Silver Lining In Kansas Elite Eight Loss To Oregon

The Lawrence, Kan. Police Department’s Twitter account is doing its best to look on the bright side of things, starting with the fact that they no longer have to deal with streakers celebrating a Jayhawks win on Saturday.

You heard that right: Earlier in the game — when an Oregon win didn’t seem quite so inevitable — a random user tweeted at Lawrence police, telling them to get ready for a streaker.

Lawrence PD, being good sports, actually replied:

That didn’t stop the account from taking a slight dig at Bill Self, however.

The joke, of course, is that Self has only led the Jayhawks to the Final Four three times since taking over in 2003, and not since 2012. Ouch.
