Team Europe stormed to a 14-1 rout this time last year to clinch their fourth consecutive Laver Cup, but a thrilling comeback from Team World, captained by John McEnroe, on Day Three saw Frances Tiafoe become the hero of the hour.
The American saved four match points to beat Stefanos Tsitsipas 1-6, 7-6(11), 10-8 and give his side a 13-8 victory.
While Tiafoe stole the headlines, the real moment of the Laver Cup, and of a generation, came on Friday night when Swiss veteran Federer suffered defeat alongside Rafael Nadal in the doubles to Tiafoe and Jack Sock in his final ever match.
Here’s how the drama unfolded over the weekend.
