On Sunday, Laura shared an article to Twitter about Dr. Fauci discussing the deadliness of the new strain of COVID-19 found in the U.K. and said: “Dr. Doom is back.”

Late on Sunday evening, Curtis retweeted his sister and said: “My sister is pathetic! Criticizing Dr. Fauci?! What is your expertise exactly Laura beyond spinning lies and conspiracies? Apologies Dr. Fauci and huge thanks!!!”

This is not the first time Curtis has criticized his sister, whose political views differ greatly from his own.

In February 2020, Laura shared an article about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to San Francisco’s Chinatown to Twitter where she criticized her “impeachment messaging,” to which Curtis responded: “Laura, leave it to you to describe the truth and facts supporting the articles of impeachment as messaging.

“That is what you do every night as you attack and smear those true Americans defending our democracy. Do you get my message?”

Curtis also reprimanded his sister in September 2019 when the TV host compared Greta Thunberg and other youth climate activists to Stephen King’s Children of the Corn. He shared an article about Laura’s comments and said: “Clearly my sister’s paycheck is more important than the world her three adopted kids will inherit.

“I can no longer apologize for a sibling who I no longer recognize. I can and will continue to call out the monstrous behavior and the bully commentary born out of anger.”

Curtis’ tweet amassed nearly 350,000 likes and more than 67,000 retweets.

Curtis and Laura’s strained relationship is tied to their differing political views, especially Laura’s previous statements on the LGBTQ community, as Curtis, who is gay, told The Daily Beast in 2018.

He said that he chose to overlook their political differences for a long time but since the launch of her show, The Ingraham Angle, and in the era of Donald Trump’s presidency, Curtis decided to speak up.

Curtis told The Daily Beast: “The divisiveness in this country has cut through not just friendships, but it’s cut through families. I was doing that dance with my sister for a while, we were very tight, her anger was funny to me back then.

“It is not easy for me. My heart has been bruised, it has been kind of irreparably bruised. But I’m trying to illuminate and shed a light on hypocrisy.”
