Coach Bruce Arians told reporters Friday the injury is, “just minor.” And while the Cardinals will likely be cautious with the veteran the remainder of the preseason, he’s expected to be ready for the season opener.

The Cardinals are also currently without the services of wide receiver John Brown, who suffered a concussion Aug. 1 in practice. He will remain sidelined until he passes the concussion protocol.
Fitzgerald, who turns 33 on Aug. 31, missed two regular-season games with an MCL sprain in 2014. He had a bounce-back year in 2015, with a career-high 109 catches for 1,215 yards and nine touchdowns.
