More than anything, the report indicates just how long and arduous Odom’s intensive rehabilitation likely will be, with a full recovery not guaranteed.
“He’s not doing great,” the source said. “His speech is still slurred and he can barely walk on his own yet. He forgets a lot of people’s names -— sometimes even his own. He definitely has some memory loss.”

Last month, wife Khloe Kardashian said Odom, 36, could be “mentally fully recovered” in a year and a half, though she has said he still has trouble processing the events surrounding his being found unresponsive Oct. 13 in a Nevada brothel.
“I don’t know if he can right now,” Kardashian told Entertainment Tonight when asked if Odom has been able to thank her for sticking by him. “Like, I don’t know if he fully understands everything, but I know he is grateful … and I’m not doing it for validation. I’m not doing it to get praise back.”

“He’s doing better every day, for sure, which is a blessing, but it’s going to be a long road and he has to walk that road,” Khloe also stressed to ET last month. “It’s going to be a long time.”
