It didn't exactly go according to plan, though, as Bryant's attempt to end the second quarter was blocked by Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan.
Bryant set up on the elbow, gave DeRozan a little misdirection shake and went up for a fadeaway. The only problem was that DeRozan didn't bite on the fake and was there to contest Bryant's shot.
So Bryant's first half of five points, four rebounds and three assists wasn't a miraculous start, but it was a realistic output for his first basketball game since April.
