LA’s Twitter feed, one of the most savage on the interwebs, was just one long string of Chargers puns and putdowns early in the Kings’ game vs. the Blues at Staples Center.
The Kings are using the term “professional” loosely. The Rams and Chargers finished a combined 9-23 this season and fired their head coaches.

And, really, the Kings can’t truly claim the Chargers as LA sports brethren until 2019, when the teams move into the Rams’ new palace in Inglewood, near the site of the Kings’ old barn, the Forum. The Chargers will be playing in the MLS Galaxy’s 30,000-seat stadium in nearby Carson, Calif., the next two seasons.
Of course, some St. Louis folks took the bait and tried to turn it around on the Kings by talking . . . baseball!
Ouch. The St. Louis rooters kind of walked into that one, because it’s also 2-0 Kings over the Blues in Stanley Cups.

Or did they? A fine retort (more diversion? Shhh!) would be:
That’s St. Louis 2, Los Angeles 0 since the Dodgers’ last title in 1988.
Oh, and it IS still St. Louis 1, LA 0 (current LA teams, anyway; the Raiders are a special case) in Super Bowl victories.
