MORE: Will the Cardinals fire Kliff Kingsbury?
Kingsbury had a slightly different explanation of what happened, offering some jokes and adding a little bit of insight into the disagreement:
All’s well that ends well: Murray would have an efficient game, throwing for 204 yards and a touchdown on 20-of-29 passing, to go with another 30 yards on the ground. Hopkins went for 103 yards receiving in his first game of the season after returning from a suspension for a failed drug test.
I mean, it’s good. We’re working through as an offense, where we want to be and what we want to do. We have competitors that have a level of intensity like that that’ll keep pushing this forward.
The big win did enough to quell some concerns about Kingsbury’s job security.
