Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph and his wife Jordan, who are expecting twin girls in early October, were told Wednesday their children “could come any day now,” according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

FANTASY: Week 3 TE rankings

If Jordan Rudolph goes into labor Sunday, doctors would attempt to “prolong” the birth of the twins to give Kyle a chance to make it back home from Carolina, according to the report.

This scenario, given the timing, had to be a fear for the couple when they announced in May at a Twins game they had twins on the way.

The Vikings certainly are glad Kyle Rudolph, who still considers himself the best tight end in football, is taking such a risk Sunday. They’ll need him against the favored Panthers.
