Kings center DeMarcus Cousins reportedly asked the team to remove “Year of the Monkey” shirts from the stands before Monday night’s game at Sleep Train Arena, said Milwaukee Bucks analyst Marques Johnson.

Cousins did not play in Monday’s home game against the Bucks because of a sprained left ankle.
The Kings printed the shirts as part of the league’s recognition of Chinese New Year. Cousins is said to have taken issue with the fact that the shirts were being displayed on the first day of Black History Month. Players and coaches wore Black History Month shirts as they warmed up for the game.
