Star pass rusher Mack faced the Raiders for the first time since he was dealt to the Bears, whose much-vaunted defense had led the league in sacks and takeaways since acquiring the 28-year-old star in the blockbuster trade last year. Mack had said he “liked” the term “vindictiveness” ahead of the reunion, but he was largely anonymous as the Raiders’ offensive line did not give up a sack in a 24-21 victory....

On the latest episode of The Kardashians, titled “What’s More American Than Marilyn Monroe?,” obtained in advance by Newsweek, the reality star, 38, got into a dispute with mom Kris Jenner over the matter. “So I don’t know if I’m supposed to tell you this or not but, um, Tristan called me,” Jenner, 66, said while pulling the Good American co-founder aside at the bash. “Yeah,” Kardashian said, intrigued. “And he said that he privately went ahead and, um, took care of the whole party....

Kings center DeMarcus Cousins reportedly asked the team to remove “Year of the Monkey” shirts from the stands before Monday night’s game at Sleep Train Arena, said Milwaukee Bucks analyst Marques Johnson. MORE: Hideous NBA uniforms Cousins did not play in Monday’s home game against the Bucks because of a sprained left ankle. The Kings printed the shirts as part of the league’s recognition of Chinese New Year. Cousins is said to have taken issue with the fact that the shirts were being displayed on the first day of Black History Month....

Alec Martinez also scored for the Kings, who opened their first playoff series against their local rivals with two victories at a road arena packed with their own fans. Dwight King added an empty-net goal for Los Angeles, which has won six straight postseason games and is halfway to its third straight trip to the Western Conference finals. Patrick Maroon scored a power-play goal and Jonas Hiller stopped 14 shots for the Ducks, who couldn't crack the Kings' NHL-best defense despite controlling play for long stretches....

In the aftermath of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, Caroline Kennedy has been turning to three poems–the one above from Homer and two excerpts from the great Greek dramatists, Sophocles and Aeschylus. All are included in the new collection she has edited, “The Best-Loved Poems of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.” “For me that whole ancient view of the world, which has survived all this time, is a very comforting thing,” Caroline explains....

While speaking Wednesday at Minnesota’s mandatory minicamp, the Vikings quarterback admitted his place in the NFL landscape isn’t the strongest and reiterated the need to change that in 2019 if the team hopes to improve its position in the brutal NFC North. “I think the next level, really, is all about winning,” Cousins told reporters. “I’m pretty much a .500 quarterback in my career so far and I don’t think that’s where you want to be and that’s not why you are brought in or people are excited about you....

If this year’s college football season is delayed or canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic, ESPN “will likely turn to” play-by-play announcer Chris Fowler and analyst Kirk Herbstreit for its NFL broadcasts, according to Front Office Sports’ Michael McCarthy. ESPN’s “MNF” booth is currently vacant, as the network is moving on from the broadcast duo of Joe Tessitore and Booger McFarland. After trying but failing to land big names like Al Michaels, Tony Romo, Peyton Manning and Drew Brees for its Monday night booth, ESPN is expected to hire a new duo from its pool of current broadcasters....

The court filing came as part of a civil case in California as the House select committee attempts to legally compel attorney John Eastman to provide investigators with emails regarding his work with Trump. Eastman advised Trump and his allies regarding efforts to overturn the 2020 election results in an effort to keep President Joe Biden from taking office. “The Select Committee also has a good-faith basis for concluding that the President and members of his Campaign engaged in a criminal conspiracy to defraud the United States in violation of 18 U....

While voting seems to be the main message, many are also preaching their political views and starting conversations between supporters and opposers in the comments. Some celebrities, like Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Eminem and Jennifer Aniston have endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden. There’s also a list of celebs who have been vocally supportive of President Donald Trump and hope to see his re-election. Actor Kirstie Alley has been a vocal Trump supporter for some time....

The 29-year-old star is reportedly planning to re-sign with the Warriors. But, Thompson would be open to meeting with the Lakers, now that they’ll have $32 million in cap space, if Golden State does not offer him a max contract when free agency begins June 30, according to a report from the Los Angeles Times. Thompson would also be willing to visit with the Clippers in that scenario, according to multiple reports....

That Klay Thompson guy is pretty good, too. Granted, Thompson defers to the NBA MVP; after their Finals victory against the Cavs, he said Curry was the best player in the NBA. But Thompson might have taken the award for best offseason trick shot from his Splash Brother after sinking a halfcourt shot with one hand . . . while riding a bicycle. While Thompson was in the middle of an interview with ESPN’s Pedro Gomez at Dodgers Stadium on Friday, Rocco went to the bathroom in the background. To be fair, Rocco is a really great, obedient dog that has plenty of training from one of the best trainers in the Bay Area. 

That’s a lot for one entry on anyone’s resume, but Klinsmann spent last week lobbying for still another position: Eurosnob-in-Chief. U.S. soccer fans know what a Eurosnob is. Some see one in the mirror while shaving or applying mascara. A Eurosnob is not one who contends the greatest European leagues are superior to Major League Soccer; that much is obvious to anyone with even a passing knowledge of the game....
