An MRI exam on Sunday confirmed Texans running back Lamar Miller suffered a torn ACL that will likely force him to miss the entire 2019 season, NFL Media reported, citing an unidentified source. The snorkeler, from Washington state, was last seen off Keawakapu Point on the island of Maui on December 8. She then disappeared without trace. Officials have since confirmed that she was a victim of a fatal shark attack. Several eyewitnesses also reported that a large, aggressive shark had been feeding in the area. One witness told Hawaii’s Department of Land and Natural Resources that he had spotted the couple snorkeling as the shark approached....

The shark washed up on Omaha Beach, towards the top of the country’s North Island. A necropsy is planned to determine the cause of death. Images of the shark were shared by Jenny Marcroft, a broadcaster and former Member of the New Zealand Parliament, on Twitter. One of the images is a close-up of the sharks’ mouth and snout. Another shows more of its body, while a third showed the shark’s entire body....

The gigantic space rock, dubbed 2001 FO32, is the largest known asteroid scheduled to make a close approach to our planet this year. In addition, it is also the fastest, data from NASA’s Center for Near Earth Studies (CNEOS) shows. Based on its brightness, the CNEOS estimates that the asteroid measures between 2,526 feet (0.47 miles) and 5,577 feet (1.05 miles) across. This likely makes it bigger than any other asteroid set to fly past Earth this year....
